Hello December!  We are fully in the Season and I hope you are all enjoying this time of year!

In my last post I mentioned how I wanted to incorporate my bible journaling, an advent Bible Verse Prompt AND a December Dailey all into one!  That was no easy task and actually as I was going through the first few days I even changed my mind on some of it.  But I thought I would share a few pictures and maybe that will inspire some of you to come up with something even better!

So as you can see in the photos above I have used a Simple Stories album and have been writing my daily Bible Verse Prompt that I shared in the last blog post.  I also decided to decorate those pages if there was room and then add the clear sleeves from photos and journaling of our month of December.  Then I was also following along with Illustrated Faith's December Advent devotional:

I love that I have different Advent studies going on, but it's become a bit much with the wedding coming up in a WEEK!  So I will try to do as much as I can but not going to be too crazy about it if I don't get around to it each day.

Here is the first page that I did with the Illustrated Faith Advent study on Jeremiah 29:11.

Day 1: Hope. Without hope what do we have? Jeremiah 29:11 is (in my own opinion) so over used as a blanket statement for our OWN hopes and dreams. At first reading this verse in an Advent bible study, I didn't really relay this verse to this time of year. But it then hit me how perfectly it does make sense! Because... God had/has a plan... a perfect plan for us! That is in Jesus Christ! That IS His plan of GOOD and not harm... HOPE and a future! Amen to that and thank you to @illustratedfaith for helping me see that.

I love the prompts in this devotional and how I've really had to THINK about these verses in relation to the advent season... But I love that it has stretched me and made me think.  The other Advent Bible Verse Writing Plan that I posted last time is more of a "timeline" to Christ's birth and I love that as well!  In fact I was writing that each day in my December Daily and then just realized that I want to bible journal some of those verses as well!  So that is why I think I will change that up a bit and instead of writing every verse down each day in the December Daily Album, I will actually journal along side some of those verses IN my bible!

Here is Day 2. Glory. Reading Isaiah 60:1&2 instantly reminded me of a song I sang in Sunday school many years ago... Rise & Shine & give God the Glory, Glory... can you almost hear it in your mind? I hope you find hope in the glory of the Lord today! Isaiah 60:1"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you." #if_tistheseason

Day 3. There is so much "Comfort & Joy" in knowing Christ came to set us free! What freedom and hope in knowing He IS the Good News! ❤️🌲🙏🏻
Isaiah 61:1 "61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound..." #adventseason2016 #if_tistheseason

That's as far as I've gotten in the Illustrated Faith Advent study... But I'll try to post more later this month... AFTER the wedding, and the wedding PHOTOS!  Can't WAIT to share those...

Here's as far as I've gotten in my December Daily album as well:

I enjoy this SO much and I'm thankful I have had some time to work on this.  I will have to finish the rest of this after the wedding...

And speaking of the wedding, if you feel lead to pray for us I know we would really appreciate it!  The weather forecast shows RAIN and it's an outdoor wedding...  We also have had quite a lot of sickness this past week and Rebecca is recovering from Bronchitis and we are trying not to get it.  So we would love any prayers for health and NO rain on the wedding day!

Thanks again to all of you who stop by here.  This is just my little space on the world wide web to post about my passion for the Lord and His Word and my love of family, friends and my faith.  It is a blessing to share this life with so many of you who want to come along with me on my retreats and just come along on this journey of Life...

Have a BLESSED weekend!

Hugs to all,

Laura
